Apparel Training For Dalit Women
The Project was initiated in 2012 by Ministry of Rural Development in providing Apparel making training for the dalit women. The training was inaugurated by Bishop Dr. Rajendran. M, Mr. Somashekar, Managing Director of Prosolution and Mr. Chandrasekhar Board of Director, Prosolution. The dalit women were given awareness on capacity building and enhancing livelihood and thereby selected candidates for training for a period of one month, the training highlights a certificate from the Central Goernment, placement and job opportunities provided to the trainees after the completion of the course in Apparel industries such as Ranga Apparel, IVA, Grace etc. Around 110 women benefited from the training with 100% job placement. The success of this project is that the trainees are able to earn above Rs.4,000/- per month and are able to support their families, and thereby have improved their livelihood.
