Literacy alone cannot translate into effective employment, other barriers to effective employment of women in the form of social, cultural and historical hindrances also have to be addressed. Thus, a focus on development of skills in women and youth would be crucial in motivating them to develop Employability skills and life skills that will lead to higher paying and good quality jobs, better livelihood, economic independence and the ability to earn for their families. Reskilling and Upskilling are the need of the hour, hence, appropriate skill trainings with adequate theoretical and practical knowledge coupled with hands-on training will do wonders.
