To mark the 18th Foundation Day of Aishwariam, three grand programmes were organised to celebrate the grand occasion.
1. SHG/JLG business loan for women, was distributed by the Deputy General Manager, Union Bank of India.
2. Certificate of Merit was distributed for students who completed training courses at ASWO.
3. Nutrition food hampers were given to 33 PLHA families.
The event saw around 100 beneficiaries altogether. The Staff and Volunteers of Aishwariam were recognised and appreciated with an award for their exceptional contribution to the NGO.
Free Hearing Aid was given to the hearing impaired. A testing was done to check the level of impairment and Hearing Aid was given accordingly. Aishwariam NGO in Association with ReSound organised this programme for the benefit of the needy. Around 30 people benefited from the programme.
Aishwariam NGO Celebrated International Women’s day on March 8th 2024. The Event saw around 40 women who cheerfully participated and shared their success stories. There was an Air of Positivity and Motivation among them. The Project Director Mrs. Anitha Anbarasi shared her views on “Woman-a Unique Being”. The Celebration came to an end with activities for women.
Diwali Celebration with PLHAs and their families on 05.11.2023, it was a bliss to see the grins and smiles on their Childrens’ faces. New clothes were hand-picked and given to the children and the elders on the occasion of Diwali. Mr. Parthiban , Proprietor – Sri Harini Rubber products and Mr. Shek Shanavas , Proprietor – Premier Engraver graced the occasion and distributed new dresses to 60 beneficiaries and their families. The day concluded with a grand lunch in the office premises.
A Seminar on Women Empowerment & POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) was organised for select students of Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science, Chinnavedampatti, Coimbatore on 18-08-2023. Anitha Anbarasi M, Project Director, ASWO handled the session on Women Empowerment and Ms. Gowri, Coordinator, ASWO handled the session on POSH. The students were sensitised on the above mentioned topics followed by discussion and Q & A.
POCSO ACT Awareness Programme, Health and Hygiene & ANTI DRUG Awareness Programme was conducted at IDIKARAI - Govt. High School, Coimbatore on 12.10.2023. The seminar was conducted in parallel sessions simultaneously in different halls for boys and girls. The students were sensitised on the evil effects of Drugs. Girl children were sensitised on the importance of personal hygiene and menstrual hygiene. Ms. Gowri and Mr. Joel handled the sessions.
Awareness on HEALTH AND HYGIENE was conducted for the Girl students of Women’s ITI, Coimbatore on 16.11.2023. Ms. Gowri handled the session. The students were sensitised on personal hygiene, the session concluded with discussion and Q&A.
Awareness on Anti-Drug (Drug Abuse) was conducted for the Boy students of Men’s ITI in two batches on 28.12.2023. Ms. Darshini Priya & Ms. Kowsika, Interns of ASWO handled the classes for one batch and Mr. Thamaraiselvan, Programme Coordinator, ASWO handled classes for another batch.
HIV AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME was conducted for select students of Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science, Chinnavedampatti, Coimbatore on 14.12.2023. Students were sensitised on the topic “Spread Hope not Hate” and the programme concluded with a Q&A session.
TB Awareness programme was organised for a group of people at Chinna Thadagam, Coimbatore on 08.12.2023,
A CSR project was carried out at Chennai at Ekattuthangal, Guindy on 19.01.2024. The programme was to provide dry ration (grocery) for 30 families affected by the recent floods in Chennai. The Programme was organised by Renovate India and HDFC Ergo and implemented by Aishwariam NGO.
As a part of observing World AIDS day , street plays were organised on 23.12.2023 at various hotspots such as Thudiyalur, Kanuvai, Chinna Thadagam and New Bus stand Coimbatore. The programme was broadly to create an awareness to the common public on the evil effects of HIV/AIDS. Internship students from Sri Ramakrishna College, Vattamalaipalayam Coimbatore and Cauvery College for Women, Trichy staged the street plays.
